This photo was a "professional", staged photo of me. It was shot when a French camera/photo team was on base in the (circa) fall of 1966 that eventually sold photos and film to Life magazine and others. This photo did NOT appear anywhere I am aware of, but they sent me a copy a month or so after they left the base. It was "staged" by the photographer to be tight against the F-105 so as to not give away flighline details/where it was taken, just "Nam". I was sitting on my rear in the load shack between loads on the flightline when the photographer came up and asked me to stage a shot of a "bomb loader" in "Nam
